General Advocacy
"General Advocacy" is a catch all phrase we use to describe the things that attorneys do or should do to help those in need of general legal help. We often take on little cases and projects to "help the little guy".
Recent Examples include:
* Fighting an auto dealership's unscrupulous business practices.
* Defending a client against unfair debt collection practices.
* Helping a single mother of update spousal support and child
support calculations using the California Support Guidelines.
* Helping an individual collect money for a breach of contract.
Many times these problems are resolved with a simple phone call or letter from our office to the offending party that outlines the legal argument that exists. Many times these small projects are taken on a sliding scale depending on the person's ability to pay or amount of dispute.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
We NEVER charge our clients for phone calls (either to or from us) AND we NEVER charge prospective clients for their first 60 minutes that we spend talking about their case. In most personal injury cases we charge a fee based on recovery (no recovery/ no fee) and in most consumer cases we charge a flat fee for services. In general we do not like charging our clients by the hour as it simply does not promote the needed communication that is necessary to adequately represent a client.
If our approach and philosophy makes sense to you, contact us today and talk an attorney who can help you with your legal problem.
We are available to meet with you in our offices or, if it is more convenient for you, we can meet at your home or business.
